IP indemnification

A vendor's promise to defend and cover customers against intellectual property claims arising from generated outputs.

Definition

Some vendors offer indemnification for copyright claims related to outputs from their models, usually on paid or enterprise plans and subject to conditions such as not disabling safety filters. It reflects confidence in training data provenance and shifts legal risk away from the customer.
